GARY FORD

Gary started his Middlesex story relatvely late having previously attended games at County and International level at Edgebaston having grown up in Warwickshire.  He moved to London aged 17 having been a keen footballer and swimmer at a decent level.

He worked in the City until an accident in 1994 combined with other ongoing medical complications have prevented him from working  so his love for Middlesex has become somewhat of an obsession.

His first visit to Lords's was near the end of the 2009 season. He immediately caught the bug after visiting The Pavilion and that enduring passion led him to missing one day in all formats of the clubs 2016 Championship winning season. For this, he was invited (along with his son) into the dressing room to celebrate with the players by Richard Scott; a memory he will cherish forever.

He joined the Seaxe Club early on. After making new contacts and for ing lasting friendships he was extremely humbled when he was asked to join the committee at the start of the 2024 season and made Social Secretary at the end of that season.

Having suffered with poor mental health, he takes every opportunity to talk about this to raise awareness in this field both in sport and byond. Everyone needs support at some point. His ongoing rapport with the players and coaching staff has been a major factor in increasing his confidence and is extremely grateful for the support the club has provided.

Ouside cricket, he follows West Ham his boyhood team of Coventry City FC. Also a proud father of one and grandfather of two. He is looking forward to many more years supporting Middlesex and The Seaxe Club and embracing an exciting partnership with MITC going forward
